BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register is a safe and secure database that allows you to block yourself from licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers. To register for BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register, we need to collect your personal information through this registration process.

We use your personal information to:

 <li>inform wagering companies that you are registered with BetStop- the National Self-Exclusion Register. We will not otherwise disclose your personal information to wagering companies.</li>

 <li>communicate about your registration with anyone you have nominated to support you while you are registered with BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register.</li>

You can self-exclude for a minimum of 3 months, up to a lifetime.

BetStop - the National Self-Exclusion Register is a free service that allows you to self-exclude from all licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers in a single process.&nbsp;
You may self-exclude for a period you choose, from a minimum of three months up to a lifetime.
While you are registered, wagering providers must not:
<ul>
 <li>open a wagering account for you</li>
 <li>allow you to place bets, or</li>
 <li>send you marketing material.</li>
</ul>
Providers must also close any existing accounts and refund any credit balance you have.&nbsp;
Before you start, you'll need:
<ul>
 <li>your mobile phone</li>
 <li>access to your email inbox</li>
 <li>a Medicare card, an Australian passport, or a driver's licence from an Australian State or Territory so that we can verify your identity.</li>
</ul>
To protect your privacy, we advise that you do not use a public computer (for example, at a library) to register.
